Summer 2011. I finally had some time to craft and unpack more and feel more like this is home everyday. Riffle Head Quarters aka Riffle HQ. Or sometime House of Riffle. Love that every single neighbor puts up a flag on the 4th and 24th and flag day and any other slightly American holiday. I made some really fun flowers and out an old .50 Anne of Green Gables book form the DI I bedazzled it with gluing rhinestones on it and glitter and cool felt and patterned paper. I made a folded star red white and blue wreath. I filled up an jar with glass pebbles red white and blue and made a God Bless America sign for it that I can switch out for different holidays. I used glitter and book pages in a frame to make the usa with some scrapbook signage. TOMATOES... Mindie gave us a little plant that we put in the backyard and it as of today has 7 tomatoes on it! We are thrilled. Mom is here for a 2 week visit which is so nice to be with someone all day again like Aunt Sue. A buddy.

Village Square at Centerville Commons Part 4

This is where we will unpack one day all of my stuff. Office stuff, sewing stuff, sparkly stuff, creative stuff:) FUN STUFF like letter stickers;) I love the big huge closet where I can put all my stuff and it is a big room so my old oak long desk fits with room to spare:)
This is the off limits room to Missy full of all things outdoors and dangerous. It is the room I wanted but Scott liked the locking set up and so he got this one.
This is a fun area that is a big hit with the younger set. I'd love to dress it up but we need to give Scotty some time to settle first then I will beg him to let me fairy it up:)
Here is Scotts mom and dad and my cousins coming by for a tour:) I'm trying out he jetted tub and you can see the nice sized cold storage.

Village Square at Centerville Commons Part 3

The kitchen I was worried about being too small. Can you believe I have empty space. We did buy the Thomasville large wall piece (which I think you can see in the New Years Eve post but it is not in any of these shots, I will get better shots once we are all moved in I promise but I keep getting harassed by out of town family wanting a peek). Thomasville piece has been great for storing big items like my kitchen aid. We also have the hutch Grandma Lucy gave us 15 years ago which hold the china I got for our wedding which I used at thanksgiving!
Granite makes me nervous. I'm still learning how to care for some of the new items like hardwood floors and granite in bath and kitchen. Scott and I squeegee in different direction I do side to side and he says up and down is where it is at. I have enjoyed my candle light jetted baths. Bella likes to sleep in the sink.
The master closet is not as big as our huge big fat one at Jefferson but it works and I love having a house. I love my neighbors, my church my community so I can give a little in the closet area. It is so cool to have a garage! In the master bedroom I love my reading nook in the bay window area whee I can see the Bountiful Temple:)

Village Square at Centerville Commons Part 2

We fell in love with this floor plan. We were going to have the builder build it for us in Draper but plans change and we got to buy the model that came back on the market:) It is open and a perfect retirement home with all you need on one level. the basement is full finished and we got tons of upgrades we would not have got if we built plus the commute for Scott is 12 minutes:) It is perfect for us.
Scott worried about me using gas since I can't smell but I work to be very careful and I think gas is a fun way to cook now that I realized certain burner are hotter than others. Use the double ovens all the time.
I enjoy the changing of the season and they are beautiful here.
There are lots of little goodies that we really are grateful for like the mudroom hooks.

Village Square at Centerville Commons Part 1

Yes we have room for Guests. However Scott is still working on letting people inside the new house. Kelly thinks it will wear off in a few years I hope so:)
Aunt Sue has her own Bath and room on the main floor- so no more falls- hooray- we hope.
We have all our bookcases and Scotts office items in the Den off the front of the house. it is my favorite room in the house. It is light with tall ceilings and I want to curl up in there and read.
Some of these photos are from when the house was decorated as the model and some are before the shutter were installed. But you get the idea of this big open area for big family parties- Right Scott? Scott? We are having a dinner party soon so we will break it in and we did host Thanksgiving and he survived all good signs of progress:) I love my big media closet and linen closets and cold storage and everything:)
