Sleepover buddies

Since Scott was hunting and the kids were off track I got to have a sleepover. I had just got home from 7 nights with Kaden and Kelsie so what is a few more??? Delight!!! Kelsie stayed both nights and Kaden stayed 1. We had so much fun. Kelsie took an hour long shower on Sunday morning, ate fried eggs like crazy, watched movies in alphabetical order and organized my "secret" pen drawer. (I hoard pens) Kaden stayed up until almost 2 am talking my ear off. "Why are the stars so far away? When is the end of the world? Why did you wear a wig on Halloween when you already have yellow hair? My name Kaden is the best because I have a big K and a little A." He is four. Kelsie is 6. I wish they would stay these ages forever. They both have the best personalities and are adorable. I love their tiny hands and feet, the sweet smiles and giggles. The best part they don't seem to be affected by how cute they are. They know they are cute but they are not bratty about it. They are both very smart, sweet and so much fun. Kelsie made me a card that said "I love you because when I'm with you it always feels like a party!" Marlene is such a awesome source of strength for me. Her and Karson are amazing parents and friends. I have so much respect for parents. It is hard and exhausting. How do single parents do it? Never having a break? Never having a second pair of hands to help or a shoulder to lean on? I am humbled by parents. There is nothing to beat the feeling I felt last night. Lying in bed surrounded by 2 little people and one attention starved kitty. They all were loving me and me loving them and the Temple in the background and rain falling-- bliss!!!
