Family Reunion Park City 2007

We had a great time being together as a family in Park City, Utah this summer. We all stayed at the Marriott Summit Watch at the base of Main Street, for a week. I sent out emails for everyone to send in what they wanted to do. Ellen was the only one who really had any response and then even that fell through because of Zach's sport games. A few people were grumpy because things were not all planned out. But I loved that it was low key and unstructured. The only thing I had planned as a must was the family photo. Marlene drove all the way up there with her family so we could have some great photos. You can see some on her photo blog at http://marlenekinikiniphotography.blogspot.com/ She is really doing well with her new camera and we are very grateful for her talent and time. WHen I get more photos I will post more here are a few of my favorites I took with my camera. The week was so enjoyable that I cried when it ended. I distaste goodbyes and got off without to many of those. I don't know why I have such a hard time with saying farwell. The kids have grown up so much and it was strange to not have Mark there teasing us. We got up early every morning and had the most sour sourdough pancakes you have ever tasted with a 100 year old recipe. We stayed up late playing games and laughing at the crazy ones like "Axel/ Boyd" swaying his hips and "Ozzie/ Scott" eating the plato head of a bat. It did not taste good. Some spent a long day at Lagoon, other rode the Heber Creeper. Jeff visited the Olympic Park and we all braved the haunted jail. Andrew came in late and the kids really missed him. Brian flew in and out in a few hours and he never gets to stay long in Park City or on our reunions. Someone has to bring home the bacon. Michele's oldest brought his cute wife a baby by for a quick hello. I had an Arbonne class on Tuesday so I had to hurry down for that. All us girls made our trek to the scrapbook store where as usual there was nothing to buy:) hee hee. We had yummy food and the kids loved the creek and the pool. Karli was tended by Sue and Al who have moved to the middle of nowhere. Mungo got so distressed that he tried to run away. We ate at Hires Big H with Aunt Cheree and Uncle Ash. Uncle Jeff was a good sport as I drove the kids around to all the different fast food favorites trying to make them all happy. I LOVE Scott's family. I just think they are the best and I am so happy when we are together. To belong is the best. I love his family.
