It was a great surprise when Scott announced he was going to let me help him with another day of salsa making. The 60 bottles he made the first day are disappearing fast and if we hope to enjoy it for the next year we needed more. I think he snuck in some extra peppers because it is spicy town. We write the year on the top of each jar and on these he labeled the batch H for hot. I LOVED making it with him. He was still very anal and watched me like a hawk. I wonder if we had children if they would be nervous wreck with hawkeye looking over their shoulder. It can drive one bonkers-- but he is really cute. The way the tomatoes felt in my hands as I peeled off the skin was fabulous. I really enjoyed myself. I still hid out for the garlic and pepper part. This time we made 47. I tried to talk him into canning some peaches and tomatoes but he just feels like we don't have the time. He gave me permission to buy quality bottled in glass with no added yuck in the winter-- (glimpses you are my proff when he says lets just get canned or frozen.) Salsa made from scratch is very healthy for you:) Aunt Sue called me in today to see Oprah who has this doctor on her show who was talking about detox diets. He says they don't work or make a difference for 4 to 10 days. I pointed out to Aunt Sue that we are always going to be eating healthier and I am being strick for at least 8 weeks. The TV Dr. said longer term would make a big difference for your liver and brain to eat more healthy because bad chemicals are stored in them. I laughed out loud when she said it is not good to eat so many vegetables because her Oprah doctor right after that said we should eat up to 11 pounds a day of raw veggies for good health:) I have been encouraging her and Scott to still fell free to eat any refined chemical they want and I have even made them regular food and brought them home regular treats but I think they are hoping I will wake up and say... oh well who cares if I don't have a liver bring on the white flour and sugar. But instead for a treat I cut up an avocado with some of the Spicy Town salsa and ate it with a rice cracker. umm um

Are we going to have to pull-off grand theft salsa in order to get some to Park City? Or does he count the bottles? Kaden is looking at the picture while I am typing. He says "hey, Missy looks a lot pretty." Apparently the two of you are still "a thing".
Do we still get a bottle for Christmas or was that idea over from the start? (Guess what - I found your blog, and I started one of my own so I can rant about things - fun, eh?)
