skeptical. So if it is something I am interested in I start researching. Well the new movie coming out, that has had several name changes will not be one I will support. I especially dislike someone hiding a dark message with movie stars to get you hooked and then in the third book- wham. As much as I enjoyed Harry Potter books had the author of those pulled her silly stunt before I had read them... I would have also stopped. With this new movie it comes down to religion and theology and how one man has tried to heal his confusion by reducing our Father in Heaven to dust. His argument is if there is a creator he is ashamed of how wrong everything has gone so he hides or worse he is not real. I don't stick my head in the sand and say all is well. I see the atrocities in the world, but to me and my faith it is a sign that God lives that Jesus is the Christ and that scriptures are being full filled. God loves each of us enough to grant us agency a precious gift. He allows horrible things to happen to great people. BUT- every wrong will be righted, every hurt healed, every heartache soothed, and any good thing missed returned 100 fold. So in the last while I have done lots of reading while traveling and here is my thumbs up and thumbs downs...2 thumbs up... Finding Peace, Happiness and Joy by Richard G Scott (LOVED this one!!!) Villette by Charlotte Bronte (her last book, an unknown treasure, a little painful but she was still sad at the loss of her sisters while writing it) Someof it is in French. Re reading the story of Jesus in the bible- love it--- each time I get new insight. 1 thumb up... Princess Academy by Shannon Hale (a few icky parts but a nice ending) in between up and down... Austenland by Shannon Hale (felt a little strange like a brothel), Book of a Thousand Days (not good for children or Missy) by Shannon Hale, Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (the first one was addicting, the second one I skiped most of the middle and by the 3rd I felt it was too racy for teens or me- yet she is a great story tellewr and I like her take on vampires) 2 thumbs way down... His Dark Materials or Northern Lights aka Golden Compass by Philip Pullman (yucky- felt dark from the get go did not finish).
