Happy Birthday to Scott

Without Marlene, Scott may not have had a very Happy Day this year. She made him a cake and her parents had us over for family dinner. We had steak which Scott had a huge smile about. We all sang to him and then watched Indiana Jones. I went with Marlene to watch Kenna at the doctor- she is an original. To know Kenna is to love her. On the real birthday Marlene and Kenna came and met us at Applebees. Scott really likes it there. It is not my favorite place but when it is your birthday you get to choose. The sad part about that was the service was terrible. I told them 3 times it was his birthday and nothing. Scott actually enjoys the attention on his birthday. Last year while in Disneyland over his birthday he loved all the special treatment which made this year a little more of a let down. SO we tried again in St. George and they also botched the birthday. Now Scott feels like "who cares" what is the big deal? He is a big deal to me. I love almost everything about him (except hunting). I love his eyes, they are fun to look into and have a deep gem like quality. They make me feel safe and loved. I like his hands. They are strong and nice. I like the way he takes care of me and our family. I enjoy his laugh and different sense of humor. The songs he makes up and how he used to do this little dance with Mungo are up near the top of the list. How dedicated he is to work and what ever his focus is on-- he is a determined man. He likes that "never give up" motto, in fact he IS that motto. I'm glad he has never given up on me or us and that thanks to the Savior we have the opportunity to strive to make our love last forever and for always:) So Yes Scott your being born is a big deal- we don't need a silly song from a dumb food place, but I do like to take some time and think of all the reasons I am happy you were born. Later that day at a church meeting I got a few of my friends and we sang him one of the Primary Birthday tunes:)
