Saliva Gland Biopsy

Scott had a biopsy done today. An incision was made inside his lower lip to remove a gland. A pathologist then will examine it for changes characteristic of the salivary component of Sjögren’s syndrome. Sometimes I wonder how many rare things or strange things are there out there for us yet to discover. I had never even given a thought to why my mouth was wet. I am now grateful it is. Did you know there are 1,000 of these little saliva glands working in our mouths and throat-- that is unless you are Scott right now. The Dr. is 90 % sure it is sjogren's disease. We will wait until next week to find out the results, and then go from there. I got to be in with him I am interested in things like that. I do not however like to see the blood drain from his face as he passes out. Poor guy he is not a good candidate for vampire. Blood just does him in as does any medical procedure. I wish I could have the things done to me instead- it made me sad to watch him laying on the table- I just love my Scott. I really like his doctor he is very tall and has fun art in his office. He has a great nature. If I heard half of the weird things our family encounters I would not believe it. I really do need to write a strange books and say it is based on the life of my brother- hee hee. I guess I could use an alias. Bella is loving Aunt Sue and I often find her curled up on Aunt Sue. Scott is amazing.
