Cake sparkles
At Sues for my birthday I got to make my own cake which I love doing since I do not have kids and like to decorate. The inside was pink! It was a big hit with the kids. I let them choose which square they wanted. I enjoy making cakes for my friends kids also:)
a peek into my random thoughts... Welcome to Missy's mind in blog format.
Dear Chancey, (Chancey means who ever happens to chance upon this blog or someone from the future glimpsing back at my life. I got chancey from my Grandpa Glen... it is how each of his journal entry start. He would have loved blogs because his journals are like blogs- full of photos and personal views.) I love the idea of having a place to collect glimpses of my thoughts. Journaling is very important to me and I think this will help keep me inspired. It is a strange thing to have an online journal but I love having these snippets of my thoughts, feelings, beliefs, struggles and triumphs. It's main purpose is a high tech journal, second is keeping in touch with my loved ones, but I hope you might enjoy it too. I know I do. Lovies, Missy (with a heart over the i)

2008 "What a large volume of adventures may be grasped within this little span of life by him who interests his heart in everything good. - Laurence Sterne"
I love to be me. I love knowing that I am a daughter of God and that Jesus is the Christ. I adore my husband, he is my truest friend. I was born without the sense of smell. I treasure Christmas, reading, holidays, Epcot, creating, water, Disney and travel with Scott. I am always finding something new to study or explore. I love sparkly things because they remind me of heaven. I love to be Aunt Missy (we have adorable kids in our life) and "mom" to Bella (our naughty but sweet kitty), Aunt Sue (my 80 year old aunt we adopted to live with us) and the late Mungo.
A few Poems I enjoy right now... I'm not sure who wrote them?
Ev’ry star is different, and so is ev’ry child. Some are bright and happy, And some are meek and mild. Ev’ry one is needed For just what he can do. You’re the only person Who ever can be you.
Father, where shall I work today? And my love flowed warm and free. Then He pointed out a tiny spot And said, “Tend that for me.” I answered quickly, “Oh no; not that! Why, no one would ever see, No matter how well my work was done; Not that little place for me.” And the word He spoke, it was not stern; He answered me tenderly: “Ah, little one, search that heart of thine. Art thou working for them or for me? Nazareth was a little place, And so was Galilee.”
Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“—so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough”
