Mind Reading

Our little friend Kaden called to ask why Scott was making salsa. I think he wondered why that instead of playing for the holiday. I explained it to him but he still sounded concerned then he told me why. His neighbor Tanner had told him he could read his mind. I shared my views that 1. Tanner is not a superhero (Kaden agreed but said what about Spiderman?) 2. Tanner is to short to be Spiderman (Kaden agreed and said "Yes because Spiderman is a teenager- Tanner is not) 3. No one can read your mind ((believe me especially men can't read their wives minds and vice versa but that is a totally different blog)). SO the next day Kaden confronted Tanner and Tanner said "You are right but I can sometimes read my moms mind." So there you have it. Mind reading is quite good for children about their mothers. I can remember being able to read not only my moms mind but her body language too. Especially when I was in trouble. I think moms can also get a fairly good reading on their kids while they are still young. They even communicate well I think from inside for the 9 month wait. As teen years fast approach it seems to slip away. Kids can be so transparent and simple- wonderful isn't it?
