I am voting for Mitt Romney in our primaries next month. This has been a long hard decision for me. Yes I know he is a politician and he has changed his mind. I am a women and change mine often. The reason I like him is the success he has had in life. In business, in his home state as Governor, in his marriage, and in the Olympics. Several years ago my church urged any member who had the desire to get into politics, to do so. (You could not pay me enough money to do that. I admire anyone who has the desire to serve our country at the expense of privacy and family life.) My church does not support any one party or candidate. Here is a direct quote from my church "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is neutral in matters of party politics. Expect its members to engage in the political process in an informed and civil manner, respecting the fact that members of the Church come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences and may have differences of opinion in partisan political matters." I was talking with Aunt Sue about this, she pointed out what all the anti-Mormon's are saying. I talked to a neighbor who threw something at me becasue they claimed I only liked him because he was of my faith. I talked to my friend about this and she was not thrilled that Mitt at one time was pro-choice. Well at one time in my life I was a Democrat (big time), at one time in my life I was a Ross Perot supporter, I have been a Republican. Did I change as a fair weather sports fan? No. I changed and still do as I grow up. I still have a long ways to go and I hope I never arrive at a point where progression quits. So as I hopefully progress and gain knowledge my ideas and views change. There are some that I have developed which I pray to God I never turn from. There are others I am embarrassed I once believed. Thank heaven for second chances:) I guess my biggest pet-peeve during the election time (which is way to long and cost far to much money) is the people who rip on any candidate past or present but have no better solutions. The complainer/ whiner has the gift of 20/20 hindsight. Anyone would do differntly with a crystal ball. In life you have to take action. Go and do not sit and stew. Well there it is on record, I will vote for Mitt- now all you telemakters please quit calling.
