When thinking about a brand New Year we decided our motto would be everythings great in 2008. We sure have had that motto tested. Instead I feel like we are shark bait in 2008. I'm not complaining because we are blessed beyond measure but just a little challenged. Scott's health is not improving; the doctors fear it is sjogrens. We don't know whether to believe them or not as they first said he had a stone in his salivary gland and then the other side of his throat swelled up. You know what just happened? I almost burned the house down I put some soup on the stove and then forgot it. Aunt Sue found it- she smelled the burning- which I would not have smelled until it was too late (and I worry about her burning the house down when it is me we should worry about). 2007 was the year of change but I insist that 2008 will be the year of great. My friend used to say that everything is great. It is true that one can find something great in everything. I found a great book. I loved reading it and it was very frivolous of me. I have a mile long list of to dos and I sort of shut down and could not do one. Instead I read a book called North by Northanger. Really fun book with the Darcy's in it:) At church on Sunday I felt like God was trying to get point across to me. Every person I talked with said it and every song we sang told of it and it was like the unwritten theme of the day. I am a child of God. I love to know that. It makes me just want to give myself a big hug. I am a child of God, who loves me just for being me. I have unlimited potential and I can have a fresh start thanks to my big brother Jesus Christ. I am really so excited to know that we are all children of God. I love to know the nature of God, that he is tangible, that he once lived I like I do, that his happiness is in my successes, that when I see him again I will know his face, his voice. So everything is great in 2008 or any other year. Any day above ground has potential to teach and that is a never ending pursuit. Now I'm off to Aunt SUe Doctors appointment-- I'm sure it will be great:)
